This is the first ever Bolivian offering from us, and this has been one of “the sweetest candy like” coffee we tasted from Bolivia.

Finca La Llama is located highest of all farms owned by Rodriguez family and this higher elevation allows slower maturation of cherries which contributes to increased concentration of sugars and thus sweeter cup.

The owner, Pedro Rodriguez is the pioneer of Bolivian specialty coffee scene, tirelessly working towards building the foundations for farmers to have access to more effective farming practices that contributed to a more profitable and sustainable coffee production.

He has found the coffee exporting business 'Agricafe' focused on representing quality focused smallholder producers in Bolivia. The program was committed in full transparency and directly passed on any additional rewards back to the individual farmers whenever a particular lot stood out earned higher than expected prices from the market.

He has also strived to share the knowledge and support the community with the training program he has developed called Sol de la Mañana, '“an initiative, teaching farmers more effective farming practices that contribute to a more profitable and sustainable future for coffee production in Bolivia.”

Through the program, he shares his modern agricultural technique with assistance of international expert consultants and hosts workshops with leading agronomists to allow the producers to meet one another, share their experiences and tackle issues together.

“Sol de la Mañana program has required a huge investment of capital, time and resources from the Rodríguez family. But they genuinely believe in Bolivian coffee and care deeply about helping the producers they work with realise their potential and improve their lives.”

There is hero in every one of us.

For Bolivian specialty coffee, Pedro is definitely one of them.
