Buf Nyarusiza Kawanziza, Rwanda
This great coffee comes from 43 smallholder producers of Kawanziza farmer’s group from Nyarusiza washing station in Kamageri sector, Nyamagabe district, Southern province Rwanda.
The word 'Kawanziza’ translates to ‘beautiful coffee’ in the local Kinyarwanda language.
They are part of Buf Coffee organisation founded by Epiphanie Mukashyaka who has contributed immensely to the quality of Rwandan coffee and the lives of local communities.

Epiphanie Mukashyaka and her son Sam Muhirwa. They are owner operators of Buf Coffee. Buf Coffee buys cherry from over 7,000 smallholder farmers in Nyamagabe and Huye Districts of Rwanda’s Southern Province. The company has strong links with the local communities around their washing stations and provide hundreds of jobs during peak harvest (May-July) as well as nearly 50 permanent positions year-round.
